4-1 Win, Interesting Game!

Well, this morning was a challenge for me to make it on time as pulling up to the park and realizing that I'd left the shirts at home, but luckily I made it right on kick off time. Apologies everyone for that - it's the first and hopefully the only time I wont have time to have a warm up with the boys.

Anthony wasn't feeling too well, and it was his turn in goals, so off he went - and what a job! Kicking out, collecting and even punch the ball from the top corner. You're a star player Anthony!

Bailey had a great first half - getting two fantastic goals! Excellent work Bailey! Michael was playing so well - really stood out as a great effort - he showed lots of talent. Luke was really thinking about passing and possession, and setting up players and trying to lead the team. Matthew was everywhere doing some great defense and clearing. Hudson was waiting up front and almost scored a few times.

At half time we were 2-0 up. We had managed to arrange a few reserves right at the start of the game - Ryan and Kye from the 7a's. I held off on putting them on unless I had to.

Second half Ryan scored the 2 other goals, and Kissing Point scored a good one past Bailey who went into goals. Anthony tried so hard to get one and almost did. Michael kicked one over the goal posts - just over - Wow - what an attempt.

We did very well today, the opposition was quite a good team, but we had possession most of the time. Again - very proud of them.

Man of the match went to Michael - for a visible improvement.

Thanks to Mary Jo for volunteering to do shirts and oranges next week.

I may not be able to make my first training session this week due to uni and work commitments - so I might be asking Marty to help for Thursday.

Another reminder that the Gala day is next Sunday - will forward the exact details as soon as I know.

We also have photos coming up. We have been assigned Wednesday the 28th at 5pm. This might be hard for me to make - please let me know if it's hard for anyone else. The only other option is the Tuesday 27th - which I think would suit me better.

Regards,
Mark
