11th Win - 2-1
The game was dubious due to rain the last few days, and things were soggy indeed.
We had no reserves, and Hudson was not happy going into goal, but he warmed up to it.
Bailey got accidentally bumped by Matthew and was hurt quite a bit. Wahroonga C's were quite good and we started all muddled up - then they snuck one in. We were down 1-0.
Finally we started to pass the ball around, do some chasing and run it up the line. Anthony got 2 excellent goals in. 2-1 at half time. Matthew was having an excellent game - running, passing ,tackling and throw ins. Michael was very busy, and Luke was going well too. Bailey had some great runs and almost scored a few times.
Second half Luke went into goals and played a fantastic game - A close save with a deflection off the foot to a fast shot, and a run out and boot that saved a goal for sure. No goals let in this half.
Hudson, Michael, Matthew, Bailey and Anthony all played well second half with many attempts by Anthony to score again. Anthony was all over the field and also had a few injuries. No change to the score this half.
Man of the match went to Anthony - well deserved. Congratulations!
Gala Day tommorrow - with 2 reserves from the A team - Kye and Christian!
What a great season so far - 11 wins, 1 loss. The boys are doing well indeed and we are looking forward to seeing Alan again next week.
