Message from Club President
Hey everyone - a couple of messages from the club to filter though.
The first one is about not training or practising before the games in the goal mouths as they are getting very dusty. The second one is below with notes about canteen and results for the whole club.
After two games, our team is shining in the club! I'm in the O35 3's - which is doing well with 2 wins too!
Dear C&Ms,
Our results after the first two rounds look quite promising. A little yellow, some red, lots of green. Many thanks to our recorder Mike for presenting them in such an easy-to-read format. Thanks from Mike for sending him your scores on time - keep it up so he doesn't have to call you!
Mike is also our canteen coordinator. He reports that the first two Saturdays were well supported by the parents from U11As in week 1 and U11Bs in week 2. Parents gave the 'thumbs up' to the new system - and they were very happy to know their team would only be required once per season!
I have one really important point to make: we are all volunteers. Whenever something - anything - is done at the club it's because someone volunteered to do it. From arranging registration days, grading days, pre-season games, running the canteen, putting up the nets, pulling down the nets, liaising with the KDSA, coaching, managing - anything you can think of is done by volunteers. This means you and me. So when you are asked to help - be it putting up the nets, pulling them down, helping in canteen, whatever - please help the club and your child(ren) by doing your bit.
Let's face it - most of us are here because of our children. And when everyone does their bit it helps us all. Almost all parents are fair and help when required. As coaches & managers you are already involved - and your children thank you.
May I ask you to pass this on to all your team parents. They need to know how important their contribution to the smooth running of *our* club means to us all. And that everyone is a volunteer.
