Back after School Holidays with an 11-0 Win!

Training on Thursday was fun! Lots of good exercises after a break of 2 weeks. Thanks to Marty and Sead for helping at training again.

It was an early game this morning (started in the rain) and we had the job to help with the soccer net setup. Thanks again to Marty and Sead for helping!

The game started and it wasn't long before Bailey got a goal in. I wasn't sure if Hudson was going to show, and then all of a sudden he was on the field! I had to ask him to come off because we had 1 too many players! In the first half, Luke was in goals, and he got to kick a single goal kick - the only touch he had. All the boys were playing quite well, Anthony, Bailey and Alen all scored with great goals making it 5-0 at the end of the half. Mathew was running very well and controlling the ball, as was Michael and Hudson.

The rain had cleared and the sun was out for the Second Half. Thanks for Sead for ref'ing. Matthew in goals this time. Alen kept scoring - a few goals straight from St Ives goal kicks, others that where part of team play - passing and calling. Bailey got his 3rd goal early on and Luke had a couple of near misses. Anthony played very well turning and passing, as did Alen! Hudson was in the action and pushed the ball and did some great running. Bailey needs a special mention for an excellent game - running, passing and scoring. Alen got man of the match because he listened very well - calling for the ball and also passing. During the second half there was 6 goals, making the total 11.

The boys are improving, and there were some plays where they passed the ball about 5 times before scoring! Excellent work boys! What a great team!

Thanks to Debbie, Michaels mum for doing shirts and oranges, and also to Sead and Edina for volunteering to do them this week.

Have a great week, see you at training,
Mark
